Indulge. Folds of fabric rise and fall, a river flowing in the morning sunlight, inviting you to slip beneath the waves of soft sheets and float away. Sunday mornings call for slowness. Cosy covers lap gently against you, as you sink back on your pillow and take time to notice the light rippling across the room while you enjoy a cuppa in bed. Soak in the calmness. Relax. Breathe.

Guide. Watch her from a distance; keep her safe. Teach her to steer her own course. Be the rock she can cling to in stormy seas, the lifebuoy that keeps her afloat in deep waters, the anchor that stops her from drifting too far. Help her learn how to swim through life’s ups and downs.

Ripples. Living in the present, we see traces of the past – even as we feel the pull of the future. Like the tides, everything in life comes and goes. When one door closes, another one opens. What lies on the other side? We can choose to let out the old and let in the new; fight against it or go with the flow and embrace change. When life’s challenges come knocking, will you choose to stay safe in the shallows or walk out to meet them, wade waist deep in the waves and learn to swim? One thing’s for sure – you can’t hold back the tide.

Gentle rise. Each dawn is a new beginning – each sunset a chance to reflect. Seize the day – seize the moment. Take time to bask in the golden glow this day brings. And know there will always be another tomorrow, another fresh start. Hope floats.
